Curtain wall insulation
Product description
Roxul stone wool insulation for the curtain wall systems is made from basalt rock and has a melting point of approximately 1000ºC. It is non-combustible, with excellent fire resistance properties.
Applications
Roxul curtain wall range of products is of rigid board which is water repellent, moisture resistant, dimensionally stable and non-combustible. It is the ideal material of choice for curtain wall system applications, either as the backpan of curtain wall or as a fire safing and smoke seal at gaps.

| Roxul CurtainRock 80 and ONE products are use as an insulation panel on the backpan of the spandrel panel of the curtain wall system. The thermal conductivity properties of CurtainRock help reduce the heat loss from this area. Furthermore, the compartment between the spandrel wall and the perimeter edge can be maintained with the excellent fire performance characteristics of Roxul stone wool products. | Roxul SAFE products are used to seal the openings or gaps between the concrete floor slab and the curtain wall together with other well recognised fire-stopping products as a system. In an event of fire, this system will prevent fire spread from one floor to another through the openings or gaps between the floor slab and curtain wall. The fire rating of the protected compartment can then be maintained. |
